Hans Davidsson (b. 1958) is an internationally active organist, church musician, researcher, author, consultant, artistic director of the Gothenburg International Organ Academy (GIOA), teacher at Ljungskile Folk High School, vice president of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, and, since 2017, back in Gothenburg as the organist at Älvsborg Church.
He has an international career as a concert organist, guest lecturer, and speaker at various institutions, courses, and festivals, as well as a jury member for organ competitions worldwide.
He has made numerous recordings for Loft Recordings (USA), including the complete organ works of Matthias Weckman, Georg Böhm, Dietrich Buxtehude, and most recently, Felix Mendelssohn’s six organ sonatas, op. 65.
Frontside has existed since 2019 and is largely driven by volunteer efforts, but we are highly dependent on additional financial sponsors and fundings. All contributions are used to engage fantastic musicians, rents of venues and all other things that make the festival a magical experience.

Our membership register contains information about names and addresses, in some cases also phone numbers and/or email addresses. The register is used only for sending out membership information. The association will not sell or otherwise share personal information with any other party. Upon leaving the association, the information will be deleted and will only remain in the records that we are required to keep for seven years according to accounting laws.
