Christopher Park, a pianist hailed by the Stiftung Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival for his exceptional technical prowess, remarkable musical maturity, and deeply intense performance style, was awarded the prestigious Leonard Bernstein Award in 2014.

Hailing from Bamberg, Park has been sought after by numerous esteemed ensembles worldwide, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, North German Radio Symphony Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra, and many others. He has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, Paavo Jarvi, and Sebastian Weigle, performing across Europe, Asia, America, and New Zealand at esteemed festivals like the Ravinia Festival and the Lucerne Festival.

Recognized as a “Rising Star” by the ECHO, Park has made his mark in Europe’s leading concert halls and is deeply involved in chamber music, debuting with the Küchl Quartet at the Vienna Musikverein. His solo albums with Deutsche Grammophon and his CD featuring works by Schumann, Stravinsky, and Neuwirth have garnered critical acclaim.

Influenced by the Russian school of Lev Oborin and the German school of Wilhelm Kempff, Park has taught in Frankfurt and now holds a professorship at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo since 2021.
