Anders Carlsson has worked at the Academy of Music and Drama and the School of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg, including as a research coordinator. He has also been the director of organ research at GOArt and the head of the School of Design.
In his research, he has primarily focused on the musical history of Gothenburg. In his doctoral thesis “Handel and Bacchus or Händel and Bach?”, he mapped out how the professional orchestral system was established in Gothenburg long before the same happened in Stockholm.
Frontside has existed since 2019 and is largely driven by volunteer efforts, but we are highly dependent on additional financial sponsors and fundings. All contributions are used to engage fantastic musicians, rents of venues and all other things that make the festival a magical experience.

Our membership register contains information about names and addresses, in some cases also phone numbers and/or email addresses. The register is used only for sending out membership information. The association will not sell or otherwise share personal information with any other party. Upon leaving the association, the information will be deleted and will only remain in the records that we are required to keep for seven years according to accounting laws.
