Kati Raitinen combines her position as principal cellist at the Royal Opera with extensive involvement in both national and international chamber music. As a member of the no longer active string trio ZilliacusPerssonRaitinen, she has won three Swedish Grammis awards.
They have also received the Royal Swedish Academy of Music’s prestigious Interpretation Prize. Alongside Cecilia Zilliacus, she is the artistic director for the chamber music series “Monday at Last” at the Stockholm Concert Hall.
In addition to CD recordings, she has frequently performed for radio and TV, most recently paying homage to female composers with Rita Strohl’s “Solitude”. The program is titled “Her Curious Gaze”.
Since autumn 2020, Kati has worked as a part-time lecturer at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, teaching both cello and chamber music. Kati Raitinen studied in Helsinki with Prof. Martti Rousi and in Stockholm with Prof. Frans Helmerson. She is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.

Frontside has existed since 2019 and is largely driven by volunteer efforts, but we are highly dependent on additional financial sponsors and fundings. All contributions are used to engage fantastic musicians, rents of venues and all other things that make the festival a magical experience.

Our membership register contains information about names and addresses, in some cases also phone numbers and/or email addresses. The register is used only for sending out membership information. The association will not sell or otherwise share personal information with any other party. Upon leaving the association, the information will be deleted and will only remain in the records that we are required to keep for seven years according to accounting laws.
