Chilean oboist Jaime González combines exceptional virtuosity with an enduring curiosity for both the new and the old. For 17 years, as a member of ensemble recherche, he played an active role in shaping the international contemporary music scene. Today, his artistic work builds bridges between contemporary music, the classical repertoire and the Baroque.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Alfredo Bernardini, as well as with orchestras including the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the SWR Symphony Orchestra. His discography comprises more than 30 recordings.
Since 2009, he has been Professor at the Bern University of the Arts and regularly shares his experience through masterclasses internationally. His growing passion for the Baroque oboe has opened up new musical horizons, driven by a constant search for interpretations that are vivid, expressive and deeply engaging.
